Here are 3 views: front, side and back of ‘Echoes of the Past’. A wise and proud Indian Chief honors the front of this clay pre-cast, while the sacred ruins of ‘Mesa Verde’ ’echo’ of a lost culture on the back.

To be cast as a Limited Edition in Bronze of 25. ‘Echoes of the Past’ has just recently opened for pre-cast sale and can be visited on display at Hueys Fine Art Gallery .

Native American Still Life Painting

Hello everyone,
I thought I would share with you the process of painting a recent 24″ by 36″ Southwestern still life.  Here in the first image you will notice I am just looking to get the canvas completely covered with basic tones. I am working in acrylic here so speed is essential because of the quick drying time. You will notice I keep a spray bottle handy to spritz my canvas and my palette if necessary.

Four Running Horses - Commissioned Painting

I painted ‘Four Running Horses’  within the home of where is was commissioned to be hung, in St. George Utah. The very exciting thing about this painting is that from start to finish this painting was completed in a total of 3 days! My customer in this case also actually worked along side me on this painting. This was both instrumental in allowing me to teach her some very advanced painting skills, while also very helpful in that we were able to complete this painting together much faster than if I had been working on it alone. In many ways this was an ideal setup for both myself and my customer. I welcome more arrangements like this one for the future!

‘Forever One’ pre-cast - Step by Step Process

Clay is the medium I sculpt in to arrive with a finished piece, which is then molded and cast in bronze. However there is a lot to the beginnings of each piece, even before bronze casting. below I have added the stages in between from it’s armature beginnings: LEFT to the near finished clay sculpture: RIGHT.

Commissioned Mural for one of my sculptures

Hi everyone,

Sometimes I have clients ask me to create a mural for the sculpture backdrop. This is one example of a mural I did recently for my “To Chase a Dream By Moonlight” sculpture. The purpose was to have the mural provide a complementary backdrop that harmonizes, not only with the theme, but also the prevailing landscape around the clients home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
