‘Alliance of Brothers’ Monument Sculpture

Alliance of Brothers      Tension between the faces

I sculpted this monument work at the Mountain Trails Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. The sculpture is entitled “Alliance of Brothers”. At first glance, most people assume that the “brothers” are the two wolves, but look more closely….Notice the relative position of the wolf at the feet of the Indian figure - he is not attacking, but moving around to defend! We never know where our strength will come from, so it is best not to make assumptions. In this sculpture I am showing that brotherhood is based on our being there for one another.
