Art inspires HUGE Art!

The other day as I was checking out comments left on my blog, I came across a very interesting note left from a Mr. Bovenduer from Holland. Notice what it said:

“Dear mr. Natiya,

Last friday there was a flower-corso in Sint Jansklooster (Holland). Perhaps your not familliar with the concept of a corso: it is like a carnaval parade only in this parade the designs are covered with thousends and thousends of dahlia’s (small round flowers). I am a member of one of the participating groups. We were browsing the web when we bumped into your amazing work. We had pretty much the same idea when we were brainstorming over a theme of an hunter covered with a wolf but we couldn’t make a model better and in a more dramatic pose than your creation of ‘the legend of the shadowhunter’. In short: we got inspired by one of your designs: the legend of the shadowhunter. Of course we gave it our own touch, nevertheless, the legend of the shadowhunter was recreated on a huge scale: 20 meters long, 10 meters in hight and 5,5 width and of course: covered with 300.000 Dahlia’s (flowers) in al kind of colours and participated in the flowercorso with huge succes! If you are interested in our recreation please send me an e-mail and I will show you pictures, movies, etc. From the otherside of the ocean we want to thank you for your inspiring work.”

So this is what ‘Shadow Hunter’ inspired half-way across the globe!
